List the days you are raid available (Sun-Thurs 8-12pm EST):
I am available on all of those days at those times.  However, I will miss 1 Tuesday a month due to school related issues.

What add-ons do you rely on most?
CLCRet, BigWigs, TellMeWhen, ElvUI, Skada, Omen, Clique

CLCRet:  This is pretty much a mandatory addon as Retribution.  It is able to make those quick adjustments to your priority based on procs or buffs.

BigWigs:  Boss Encounter Addon, pretty self-explanatory.

TellMeWhen:  TellMeWhen (or WeakAuras) is pretty amazing.  It will especially shine in WoD for Ret for Empowered Seals maintenance.

ElvUI:  Makes my UI look better.  I like how customizable it is.

Skada:  Meters are important.  I look at them for DPS/Damage but I prefer them for other things.  Tracking interrupts/dispels, damage taken and especially deaths.

Omen:  Because surprisingly, threat can still be an issue, especially on new adds that the tanks haven't fully established threat on.

Clique:  I like being able to use a mouse-click combination on unit frames to get my Hands of ... out quickly.

What resources do you use to keep up to date on how to play your class?
I use several websites and SimC.  Maintankadin, MMO-Champion and Sacred Duty are my primary resources.  SimC is good for general information but you can't take the information it gives you out of hand as the absolute truth.

What previous raid experience do you have?/What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving?
Mists of Pandaria

Sacrifice - Mannoroth:  I applied to this guild (on my Paladin) and was accepted as a trial on June 24, 2014.  I raided with them for three weeks before deciding that it wasn't the guild for me.  I applied initially because I knew someone in the guild and figured I'd give it a shot.  I went 14/14H with this guild

Omega Imperium - Stormrage:  This is my weekend guild.  We're currently taking a break until 6.0.  12/12H was achieved prior to the break.  I play my Warlock actively and my Warrior is my backup character in the event a tank is needed.

LA - Stormrage (moved to Stormreaver after I left):  I tanked in this guild on my Paladin for the entirety of ToT (13/13H - US25 25 Man) and the first 7 or 8 in Heroic SoO.  I left because the differences in the guild between when I joined and when I left were like day and night.  The raid atmosphere was stifling near the end of my tenure with LA.  I wasn't enjoying my time in the guild.

Reckless - Skullcrusher:  I was also tanking for this guild.  I left because half of the officers and several of the raiders left at the end of Tier 14.  A lot of people were dissatisfied that we didn't kill Heroic Sha before T15 was released.  I didn't want to risk sticking with the guild and risk being stuck at an optimal time to seek a new guild.  Since then, however, Reckless is raiding and is now 14/14H in SoO with much of the leadership replaced.

Cataclysm

Questionable Intent - Shadowmoon:  I was a tank in this guild for the entirety of Dragon Soul.  We cleared 8/8H as a 10 man at the 15% or 20% nerfs.  The guild started as a 25 man but the leadership had a hard time finding candidates to raid with us.  The guild fell apart near the end of Cataclysm because of the inability to recruit back up to 25 mans.

Bless The Martyr - Shadowmoon:  I dual-mained a Prot Paladin and a Warlock in this guild.  We finished Tier 11 at 10/13H due to recruitment issues and ridiculous attendance frustrations.  We finished Firelands at 6/7H and got the Meta mounts.  We put several attempts on Ragnaros but that was it.  The leadership took a break from WoW and most of the roster found other guilds.

Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)?
I would like to join Shade of Arrows because I would like to be in a guild that can kill bosses while they're current.  I'd like to make Shade of Arrows long-term placement for myself.  The schedule is amenable to my current mindset.

I am very competitive with myself.  I don't really care what other people are doing.  I want to do better this week than I did last week.  I am extremely self-critical.

I'm 32 and don't like to waste time.  My biggest flaw is my impatience.  I'm a very protean person.  I get along well with others.  I respect people until given a reason to not respect them.  Not really sure what else to put here.

Would you share time with the guild if you were to be recruited or is that exclusively your own?

If you are referring to my Friday and Saturday guild, it is unlikely it will reform at 6.0 from where we sit right now. I just don't have the desire to recruit another 15 people to the roster. The other members of the guild's leadership feel the same as well.

Alright, so here goes.

My CLCRet priority string looks like this: inq inqes ds_4t16_5hp tv5 how ds_4t16_aw tvaw cs j ds_4t16 exo tv3

That translates to Inquisition > ExSe under Inquisition > Divine Storm (4pc Proc) at 5HP > Templar's Verdict at 5HP > Hammer of Wrath > Divine Storm (4pc Proc) under Avenging Wrath > the rest is pretty easy to get.

The amazing part of CLCRet is that it is capable of making those quick changes based on data you've given it that many people might not get right. Most people wait 1 extra GCD on their DS procs than they should ideally. CLCRet trains people, provided their priority string isn't fubar, to not spam blindly or to not hold onto procs. The only proc that should ever be held onto right now is Exorcism, using it only when you have absolutely nothing else to use.

A lot of Ret Paladins place to much value in Exorcism and use it on CD, which can be a DPS/Damage loss. CLCRet can break you of that habit. Exo will become fairly good in 6.0 with the changes to its scaling, so all of this will be moot then.

Another thing that most Rets don't know is why you stop at 40% haste (+/- 1-2% for latency/comfort) until you have the gear to support 50% haste (+/- 1-2% for latency/comfort) without losing too much mastery. A lot of them know to do it, but that isn't enough for me. I need to know the why. You get an extra HoW at both of those breakpoints and any haste rating after 50% (+/- 1-2% for latency/comfort) is better served in crit or mastery.

Your parses are honestly really solid for your ilvl on most fights, especially considering your lower ilvl Tail Tip (I share your pain). UI looks good, your post seems knowledgable (as far as my ret knowledge goes), and you don't die to dumb shit. I have no qualms at allabout trialing you. So as long as Samboro, our other melee officer, has no reservations either, trial offered.

I added you. I'll work on getting a Faction/Server transfer. It *shouldn't* be too difficult to find someone to do it for gold.

I've actually found someone to do the transfers and I'm on Velen now.

I posted in one of the 'Fix my DPS' threads on MMO-C for a log review and some guy named MBDTF looked over the logs I linked him.  The logs were from August 15, 2014 which was my first raid with SoA.

His remarks were as follows:

why don't you use DP/LH for fallen protectors?

You have only one hit of SoR during the fight, SoR is really worth swapping to imo when you get into the Sun transition due to how many adds are active.

Also not enough censure damage, you're aware that you can have 5 stacks running on all of them at the same time.

The time between your first two HoW's on norushen is 6 seconds, why is that?

Your opener is kind of odd, its a waste of time/gcd's popping wings/GoAK on pull but waiting til 4 seconds to use inquisition. Use the holy pvp 4 pc before pulls in order to start the fight with 5 holy power and not waste abilities ESPECIALLY inside Wings that arent effected by 30% more damage, it maybe 4 seconds, but those 4 seconds matter.

You also either don't use your pot prepull, or don't use your second potion on a lot of these fights.

You didnt even use Seal of Truth on Sha of Pride

You did pretty okay on IJ as far as DPS is concerned.

As far as everything past that your performance seems to be okay.

We didn't tank everything in the middle. Rook and He were/are moved out and melee are on those. I'm generally on He during Sun's DM.

As for Censure, I was working on that. I ended up with Rook and Sun pretty close and He further behind. Working on that.

I have no idea why there is a 4 second gap between HoW uses. That might have been one of those fights where I had a wrong piece of gear on and was missing some haste.

That Sha. I just didn't pay attention to my seals. This was my first raid week in Shade of Arrows, I thought I had all of my WeakAuras and TMW stuff set up. It wasn't until later in the night until I realized half of them weren't working.

I was in the towers for Galakras. I died from Drakefire and didn't get a rez.
