What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving?
My current guild is known as Evocati on the server Zul'jin. I joined them day after the guild was created and I have been their main Holy paladin since then. They had hopes for raiding with a hardcore attitude in a 25 man environment for only 6 hours a week, while maintaining a Democracy instead of having officers. This was going quite well, but recently our lack of leadership has been biting us in the butt and has really left a few people at each other's throats. I truly feel that the guild is an excellent idea in theory, but I don't think it will ever work in practice and I forsee the guild falling apart shortly. Furthermore, I have realized that I no longer want to pursue a 25 man raiding guild and instead I want to pursue 10 man raiding. This guild is currently 16/16N with Elite Protectors and 3/16 Heroic downed. I will be posting logs from my raids in this guild. Over the past two weeks I have been raiding on my Resto Druid for them, so the logs for my paladin are about 2 weeks old.
Prior to Evocati, I was in a guild named Eminence on Stormrage. I joined them on Area 52 under a different guild name that also started with an E. In that guild I was a main raider and the 2nd fulltime holy paladin. We maintained a 4 day raid schedule (6-10PM EST Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thursday and we often did 10 mans on Friday and Sunday. I joined them towards the end of 4.0 and left during heroics in 4.1 (Firelands). I cleared Firelands Normal, 2/7 Heroic FL, and downed H 25 man Nefarion with them.
I have the GM's email from that guild if you would like to request a reference from her. I raided under the name Calypsà (alt 133 or just Calypsa) back then. Her email is either imamazing81@gmail.com or justagryl@gmail.com
Before that guild I was in a guild called Rogues Take Zero Skill on Arthas. I joined RTZS back in the beginning of ICC and managed to clear 11/12 H ICC with drakes while being the main holy paladin for them. During ICC, we managed to clear 25 man ToGC and Ulduar with 25 man drakes. I also lead many pug raids for 10 mans and ran a 10 man Ulduar run to get my BiS Trinket every week. In Cata we made it to 7/12 Heroic BWL, BoT, and ToTFW and I assumed the role of healing officer during my time with them in Cata.
If you want to speak to someone from there, you may contact Izzydawn on Arthas.
Before RTZS I was in a guild called We Gquit on Arygos. This is the guild that I made my raiding debut as a holy paladin. I started raiding with them at the end of BC, when everything had been nerfed to shit, though at the time I was unaware of this. We managed to clear Kara, Gruuls, Mag, 3/4 TK, 4/6 SSC, and 1/5 Hyjal before the guild decided to take a break before Wrath and play Warhammer. I chose not to play warhammer and just took a break. In wrath, we managed to clear Naxx, 7/15 Ulduar, and 4/4 Normal ToC. When the guild was working on ToGC, I decided that I needed a break to sort out my school work and life. It was my first college semester and I was getting B's and C's (which for me was not cool) and I quit for a few months to get back to A's. In ICC, the guild began to fall apart and I transferred to Arthas to play with some real life friends. As far as I know, none of the original leaders of that guild are around, but if you want to you can search for Magainah or Sulphis. I don't believe either have been active since 2009/10.
Prior to playing my paladin, I played a Prot warrior on the server Smolderthorn. This warrior was the very first character I ever made and I still have him on my account, though I don't enjoy playing him anymore. On this warrior I main tanked for a small guild that managed to clear Kara and then I offtanked for a guild that cleared Gruuls, Mag, and 1/4 TK. After our first kill of Voidreaver (or Lootreaver as we called it) the guild fell apart and I left my warrior to start my paladin. I don't even remember the names of the guilds, but if you want you can track down Menno, who was the leader of the very first raiding guild that I joined, though I don't believe he has been active since 2007. As for the other guild, I don't remember any names or even the guild name. The only thing I remember is that the one mage and officer was a professor of English at the University of Toledo Ohio, who loved getting wasted on Fridays. Made for a good time!
Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)?
I would like to pursue 10 man raiding in a serious and hardcore environment while still being able to pursue other real life things. Furthermore, SoA's raid times perfectly match my availability.
How did you find us (Friend,Forum,Trade Chat,Officer, etc.)(specify)?

Tell us about yourself, to help us determine if you would be a good fit here (The more you put here, the better it looks):
I guess I'll start with the usual spiel about myself. I was born in South Africa (not Southern Africa) and I lived there until I was ten. People always ask why I was there or why my parents were there. Simple answer: I was born there, my parents were born there, and so were my grandparents. Another question people always ask (I hope no one takes offense to this because it's not coming from me) is "if you're from Africa, why aren't you black?" If that question is on your mind, here is a wikipedia link to go look through (sorry if I'm being brash) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonisation_of_Africa.
Anyway, I moved to Pennsylvania when I was ten years old. My dad is a mechanical engineer and he managed to get a position in the US with the company he worked for in SA. I lived in PA for about 9 months and then we moved down to South Carolina. My dad's company moved from PA down to SC and we lived there for about 4 years until my dad accepted a new job in Ohio, which is where my family lives now.
Now onto the stuff about the person I am now. I am currently a 4th year mechanical engineering student at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. I co-oped for Toyota in Michigan this past fall where I worked in the Engineering Powertrain - Computer Aided Engineering Group. Basically, my group focuses on researching and testing software and procedures for simulating engine noise and vibrations and matching simulated data with test data. Currently, I spent my time there developing a simulator using a multi-body dynamics software known as Simpack to simulate the noise and vibration for a V6 engine. After college I plan on going to graduate school and earning my masters in mechanical engineering and maybe math or something else as well while working for Toyota as a research engineer. After my masters, I am hoping to go for my PhD in mechanical engineering and then pursue a career as a professor. I'm hoping to study computational fluid mechanics , combustion, and maybe focus on flame propagation, though I'm sure this will all change in the future. I am currently a learning assistant for the College of Engineering at Akron for two classes (both contain around 150 students with different teachers) and I am also a general tutor for mechanical engineering classes including classes that I am currently taking.
I am an individual who has a dream and will do anything to achieve that dream. My dream is to change the world for the better, in such a significant way that my name ends up in a college text book for mechanical engineering. I am the individual who adores learning and loves school just because you get learn new things (my girlfriend "hates" me for this quality). I'm always fascinated how things work and I love listening to people describe their job/work to me. It amazes me how many unique and intriguing things there are in this world.
I do have few hobbies other than video games and studying/learning (that's a hobby to me and not a burden). In my free time I enjoy working out, lifting weights, and skateboarding. I have been lifting weights for a few years now and I have been skateboarding since I was 13. My girlfriend and I have been together for 4 years now and I spend a lot of my time with her when possible.
