Your weekly raid availability (Tues/Thurs/Sun 7:30-11:30pm EST): Was told it was 8-12 PM EST however these hours should still be no problem.
What add-ons do you rely on most? DBM, OmniCC, Titan Panel. Use plenty others but I'd say those are most important.
What resources do you use to keep up to date on how to play your class? Tankspot, WoW tanking forums, Icyveins, Elitistjerks (less so recently).
What previous raid experience do you have? ICC 10 man Normal while it was end-game but nerfed. Cleared T11 on Normal. 6/7 HM Firelands while it was end-game and earned Firelord in 4.3. 8/8 HM Dragon's Soul. Currently 4/6 HM in MSV and 1/6 HM in HoF. All normals this tier are cleared.
What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving? Recently I was in the guild Magic School Bus on Darkspear Alliance. The raid team disbanded due to burnout. I am currently in the guild Rubber Ducky Society on Magtheridon Horde-side. I am seeking a new guild because I'm not satisfied with my guild's current progression.
Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)? I'm looking for a serious progression guild that doesn't raid a ridiculous number of hours and that isn't so far ahead in terms of progression that I'd be too far behind to be considered. That said I would likely be willing and able to meet additional times as needed if we were really pushing progression or wanted to farm for gear. I want all of the Cutting Edge achievements this expansion as well as realm firsts. That said I still want to have fun and be in a mature environment. I was briefly a part of a guild that was policed so harshly it sucked all the fun out of the game entirely. While people should be called out for failing multiple times, it seemed extreme to me to seriously criticize someone for a mistake made once or twice. I believe you would certainly qualify as a serious progression guild just based on what your guild has already accomplished. Whether or not you feel I would qualify as a good enough and geared enough player is obviously up to you. Also I do not know how strict your raids may be, but I'm always open to criticism so long as it's constructive and helpful and benefits the raid. I also love to make friends or at least get along well with the people I raid with, so hopefully that would happen too.
How did you find us (Friend,Forum,Trade Chat,Officer, etc.)(specify)? Cobane posted in a thread I started on the WoW Guild Recruitment forums stating the guild was looking for a protection warrior.
Tell us about yourself, to help us determine if you would be a good fit here (The more you put here, the better it looks): I'm a 23 year old male college student. I'm studying English Literature at the moment so that I can look forward to all of the great job prospects English Majors have in this bustling economy of ours right now. I guess I'm also sarcastic too when I'm not being serious. I've played WoW since its release and got into raiding at the very end of Icecrown Citadel.
I'm a pretty big nerd and enjoy a lot of video games, movies, television, anime and the like. I play WoW what probably qualifies as an unhealthy amount but I'm not typically on it 8 hours a day every day or anything quite so crazy; I do enjoy having a social life from time to time. I'm not an altoholic or someone who plays the AH all the time to make loads of gold. I pretty much play the game to progress right now, and so most of my time in-game goes to that. I do however love to sit around and bullshit in Vent with people from time to time or play other games with people I raid with. It's important to me that I have fun with what I do and I don't feel you can have fun raiding if you don't like the people you raid with. However it's also not fun to wipe over and over again to a boss because people just can't grasp the mechanics over dozens of attempts.
Sorry if this seems particularly WoW-centric but since it is for a WoW guild it feels somewhat hard to avoid for me. Something else not WoW-related about me... Well I'm a big fan of genre fiction like fantasy, sci-fi, etc. but I also certainly appreciate the classics in literature and film because of what they do and mean even if they don't always strongly appeal to me personally. Also here is a link to the most ridiculously difficult flash game I've ever seen and it's based on Winnie the Pooh. Who does that?
