My semester ends on Monday, so I will be out for summer vacation, meaning I won't have any foreseeable issues with any times. Once semester starts, this may change, but I will be aware of any schedule conflicts well before they pose a problem.

What add-ons do you rely on the most?

I run the ElvUI addon package, so I don't really have *one* addon on which I rely more than any other. Obviously, as a raider, I rely on DBM/VEM pretty heavily. Aside from that, one feature I would loathe raiding without would be raidframes. I'm not a healer, but I do like to be able to see if anyone in the raid needs an emergency vigilance, intervene, or safeguard.

What resources do you use to keep up to date on how to play your class? I've been reading Icy Veins throughout this tier, as well as contacting world-class Protection warriors (such as Gliff of ) to answer any questions.

What previous raid experience do you have?

I main-tanked Kara-Lich King and took a break throughout Cataclysm and the first two tiers of MoP.

What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving?

Ire/Fuse (same guild, different name) for this expansion. The guild dissolved after a few of our members got burnt out. Since then, I have been practicing fury dps in my friends' normal guild runs. Their guild is . As much as I love raiding with friends, they simply are not at the level of raiding I am looking to be at right now. I set a goal to kill Heroic Garrosh, and plan to accomplish that. That being said, I am aware that SoA has had H Garrosh on farm. I'd like to mention that I am in no way looking to be carried through a kill. I intend to carry my own weight throughout the end of MoP and beyond into Draenor.

Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)?

After speaking with a few members in Mumble, I feel SoA has what I am looking for in a guild: efficiency and friendliness. I recognize the question said to be thorough in my answer, but I'm afraid that's as thorough as I can be. I simply want a guild that will provide me with a fun, challenging environment, while still clearing content as quickly as possible.

Are you competitive by nature? If so, who do you compete against (Yourself or others? Specifiy other)?

Absolutely! I've always felt that the only way to progress and grow as an individual is to push yourself, so I am constantly competing with myself in order to improve. I also tend to "compete" with other tanks, specifically prot warriors. This is typically done after watching their videos or chatting with them about their performance and experiences on fights. Most recently, I ran a flex raid with a friend who has a 580 protection warrior, and was only behind him in dps by ~6k.

Tell us about yourself to help us determine if you would be a good fit here (The more you put here, the better it looks):

I am double majoring in Physics and Nuclear Engineering, and will most likely pick up a minor in mathematics along the way. Eventually, I'd like to have a PhD in Particle Physics and work towards a unified field theory, as well as a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering with a focus on fusion energy. I write and edit for the page "From Quarks to Quasars" on Facebook. We currently have ~1.2 million active readers. I enjoy reading and prefer non-fiction. That being said, the Lord of the Rings is hands-down the best book(s) I have ever read, and the movies are better than Star Wars. Yes, even the original three episodes. I originally was going to attend Berklee and major in music, but my passion for math and sciences took over. I listen to all sorts of music, but prefer hardcore/metal, and enjoy playing it on the guitar. When I'm not playing the electric guitar, I play fingerstyle acoustic guitar (much like Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, etc.)

Edit: I re-optimized some of my gear after realizing my stats weren't ideal. After running normals for ~one month, I must have let some optimization opportunities slip. Just thought I'd give a head's up!
