What resources do you use to keep up to date on how to play your class? Elitestjerks for all the theory, wowhead for gear/gems/enchants, and I always read the patch notes .

What previous raid experience do you have? I have downed omnotron and magmaw, and have experience with maloriak and conclave. I didn't start playing until after Cata came out, so I've done some ICC/ULD/NAXX and the like, but not until I was 85, so it doesn't count.

What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving? I was first a member of <shadows and dust> which was a social guild. I left them because there was very little interest in raiding, and that was my goal after making it to 85. Currently I'm in <Infinity>, which is a casual raiding guild. I want to leave them because too many people do not take raiding seriously. It's been a good learning experience for me, but waiting around for up to an hour to fill raid spots, and then having long pauses between attempts is not what I'm looking for. I should mention that I am currently alliance, and would need to faction transfer to trial if accepted.

Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)? I want to join Shade of Arrows because I'm looking for a guild that raids consistently, professionally, and will push me to become a better raider. I'm still very green in some ways, but I want to be in an environment where I need to know what I'm doing or I'm out. I want somewhere where I will be held to a higher standard than show up, have vent, and do some kind of damage without pulling aggro. From what I've seen of watching over Lav's shoulder, Shade provides that environment.

How did you find us (Friend,Forum,Trade Chat,Officer, etc.)(specify)? I date Lavandris, and he's been working on me to app with Shade of Arrows since I started playing, even though he had me start as a night elf.

Tell us about yourself, to help us determine if you would be a good fit here (The more you put here, the better it looks): I'm a college student. WoW is probably my favorite hobby after theatre. I enjoy the social aspect of being in a guild, but I'm also very focused when it's time to raid, and I don't waste time during raids. I am very receptive to constructive criticism, and would always rather someone tell me that I'm doing it wrong so I can fix it. That being said, if I think I could be doing something better, I will look it up or ask questions so that I improve. I'll probably be pretty quiet in vent, but I will speak if I need to.

Indeed, you are very green. 2 problems with your character: 1) You haven't reforged your mastery on items to haste; 2) You haven't leveled both professions to take advantage of your cata prof bonus.

Are you willing to play from the bench? Are you comfortable with a Friend status until you're not as green? You will see playtime as long as you show up to raids. But you will likely not be in during progression content.

I've been working on my professions since I decided to apply, it's just slow going right now (darn you, price of frostweave!). Reforging I can do as soon as I log on.

I would be comfortable in friend status as long as I will see enough play time. Not to be a brat, I just know I need practice to get better. I'm not doing progression content now, so whatever you want to bring me in on is fine with me.

Since you also have enchanting I would send what you make with tailoring to an alt and when your enchanting is high enough just DE what you made. I lvled tailoring and enchanting together and just DE'd what I made and that seemed to be enough to get the mats to lvl enchanting.

Of corse it is. Not being a jerk is a good thing.

I'm going to go ahead and move you to friend status given your professed green-ness and other things brought up during this past week indicative of said trait. This means you'll get in raids when we're short and on farmable content until you're more comfortable with the game play.

Works for me. I'm more than aware of how not ready I am to be doing progression raids. In fact I'd probably ask if you needed your head examined if you had come to a different conclusion
