About The Guild Empty About The Guild

Post by Cobane Sun Aug 15, 2010 5:13 pm

Shade of Arrows is one of the best established Horde raiding guilds in North America.

Goals: Our goal in WoD is to finish each tier on heroic in 2 months or less from tier release. Ideally, the faster the better. This will allow months of downtime between tiers and we expect to finish in the top 30 for the Americas/Oceanic. If tiers drag out for 4-6 months, schedules become complicated and natural roster turnover hurts progression.

Members are often front page Wowprogress.com caliber players who no longer have time to commit 7 days of the week to progression. We expect our recruits to continue to build on this tradition of excellence.

The guild has a long history on Velen since day 1 of the server, but we started on Shadowsong in 2005. Since then, we have formed ourselves into a formidable raiding team and keep an upstanding reputation within the Velen community. The guild masters who created the guild still lead it and are always looking to improve the quality of the guild's raiding experience.

    We run a clean ship:
    - No tolerance for drama.
    - The leadership follows the rules.
    - Loot is not why we play. It just makes things easier.
    - We are team oriented .

    SCHEDULE:
Coming in WoD, SoA is considering 4-5 days of raiding to accommodate our speedy progression
goals. The number of days will depend on the quality of the roster we enter WoD with. The better the players, the fewer the days needed.

-The days will range between Sun-Thurs 8p-12a.

We completed MoP on 3 day schedule.
    Tues/Thurs/Sundays 8-12p EST

It is common for us to go up to 30 minutes over raid time when we feel the extra time will get us a kill or we feel it essential to practice with a specific mechanic.

-You are expected to SIGN UP in game (guild calendar on your minimap) for raids you can and cannot attend!

LOOT: Item distribution is handled by the officers and many factors are taken into account. These factors include, but are not limited to, past and future attendance, current items equipped, job in progression fights. Officers follow the loot rules detailed in the guild forums.
