IMO, the text that you took out of that blog was the least important of the bunch. I'm more interested in the return to start-of-cata style triage, the reduction of absorbs, and dumbing down smart heals. Nonetheless, I agree with everything that was said in that blog, providing they execute it properly. It will take a lot of tuning and I fully expect blizzard to fuck it up for a while, but it will be worth it.

Oh , I wholeheartedly agree that healing need some re-tuning . As a Mistweaver I'm very happy they are going to be " fixing " atonement and fistweaving as well as absorbs, because atm absorbs rule in this raid tier.

I'm excited that they are addressing the current issues with healing and Hope they don't fuck it up.
I knew before the release of this blog they were removing my instant cast/ manually casted healing spheres , I was just a bit shocked to see healers across the board getting nerfs to aoe healing / instant casts.

I remember healing in the beginning of Cata, though I chose to Main my hunter for Cata, I had Multiple Healer Alts. I remember dreading the Cata " healers nerfs " then it didnt turn out to be so bad , specially once you got some decent epics.
I Just Hope they achieve what they are trying to do, I hope they make healers much more balanced.
As a healer that has nothing But smart heals, I'm excited to see what they give us to compensate
for the " dumbing down" of smart healing, and the removal of manually casting healing spheres, I really hope we gain more control over Who we are healing out side of spam channelling soothing mist

Although I fear that I may actually need a dps spec to quest / do daily's now with the incoming changes, I guess we shall see, I have very much enjoyed being able to quest/ level and do dailys with nothing but my healing set on my mistweaver Sad
