    Note that I was new to these fights, learning each mechanic and positioning throughout the attempts/kills. I usually can pick up on things quickly, and able to fix my game-play on the spot, if I happen to make a mistake. Also take into account, my healing may be low in some situations, mostly because the other healers out gear my monk by a large amount (especially having their legendary cloaks). Even if gear is only a buffer, I'm still keeping up with them, somewhat.

    Ruby Sanctum

    • When this was raid released, I went semi-casual and needed a long break from raiding. I was starting to get burned out. However, I had taken a few attempts on 10-man, eh. Cutter and cleansing debuffs weren't that hard to accomplish, that I was missing out on something important.

    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    Cata - Druid [Restoration]
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    BWD | BoT | Throne

    • With going casual and dealing with my problematic issues of being burned out, I found myself with a friend's 10-man team. That said, we had cleared all normals and 1-2 heroics. I went back to work on heroics during Dragon Soul (all the end bosses cleared of this tier), which I healed on my druid and paladin.

    Firelands

    • Raided Firelands with the same group, mentioned above. Cleared all normals, but didn't touch hard mode. The guild was going through some difficult breakups.

    Dragon Soul

    • Cleared normals, heroics (eight out of eight), and finished up 3.9 percent of my Dragon Soul meta mount (missing one achievement I didn't get until MoP).

    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    MoP - Druid [Restoration] & Monk [Mistweaver]
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    MSV | HoF | ToES

    • My server hit a wall. At the start of MoP, I had high hopes of raiding and getting back into the grove of things. I was able to clear MSV, but with the wall my realm hit and the population lacking, I wasn't able to find a raid group. I could have transferred, but money has been tight the last year and a half.

    Throne of Thunder

    • I found a really, really casual minded group of players for ToT. I was starting to get serious about my monk and wanted to raid. While this group was lacking a lot, it was nice to be able to raid on my server. Only saw up to Tortos before 5.4. Server was still lacking, and money was tight. It still is.

    Siege of Orgrimmar

    • • Immerseus: Normal
      • Protectors: Normal
      • Norushen: Flex
      • Sha of Pride: Flex
      • Galakras: Flex
      • Iron Juggs: Flex
      • Dark Shamans: Flex
      • Nazgrim: Flex
      • Malkoro: Normal
      • Thok: Normal
      • Spoils: Flex
      • Blackfuse: Normal
      • Paragons: Normal
      • Garrosh: Undefeated

    With how things have been the last 3 and half years, I'm looking to change my progress. It was a huge mistake to go casual, even if I tried to keep up with the changes, I was dealing with a lot. I was mostly burned out as I stated.
    What guilds have you been a member of and why are you leaving?:

    Ascent-Medivh to Thrall

    • » [Dates]: EQ1 to WoW -> 2002-2008
      » [Rank/Responsibilities]: Healing officer and raid leader.
      » [Reason For Leaving]: While helping to finish up our last Atiesh, with our guild and pugs for our GM, Rot, during Sunwell, our guild's focus had went elsewhere. I believe a remnant and fracture of the guild still exist, but the roster has changed since then.

    Exalted-Antonidas

    • » [Dates]: 2009-2010
      » [Rank/Responsibilities]: Raider and semi-officer.
      » [Reason For Leaving]: We raided until we started having issues with attendance mostly. Other guilds were having issues as well, but we managed to do a joint conjunction with two other guilds and started, Axiom.

    Axiom-Antonidas

    • » [Dates]: 2010-2011
      » [Rank/Responsibilities]: Healing officer, webmaster, a recruitment officer, and half raid leader.
      » [Reason For Leaving]: Things weren't looking good for Axiom and ten of them decided to break off to focus on 10-man, at the very end of WotLK. That said, I started to get burned out. I decided I would transfer and see what the causal world was like - start a new life.

    Catalyst-Fizzcrank

    • » [Dates]: 2011-2013
      » [Rank/Responsibilities]: Raider, and asked to become an officer, which I declined.
      » [Reason For Leaving]: With Cataclysm around the corner, I decided to join up with my friend's guild. They were doing quite well (server second). They needed a healer for their second team and it was fun all-around. The guild looked populated and I had huge plans to raid with them in MoP. That said, attendance started becoming an issue for the guild around March 2013. Things were chaotic and a lot of us were pushed to other guilds, eventually the guild disband and many members started transferring off this fail of a server. I decided I would go solo until 5.4.

    Reset-Thunderhorn

    • » [Dates]: Present
      » [Rank/Responsibilities]: Applicant.
      » [Reason For Leaving]: While still looking for a raid team for SoO, I had been doing some Flex raids with some distant friends and relatives. Still not being able to find something and having an urge to raid normal/heroics, I thought transferring might be the best bet. I created a recruitment post and picked this guild out of the bunch who had posted. While everything sounded wonderful, I was fed mostly bullshit.

      At first, it sounded like they were recruiting me for a full time healing position. I know I had read that correctly, but finding out at the first raid on Weds., they already had three or four healers. Last night's raid pushed me over the edge, as they recruited another healer. So you're looking at five or six healers on the roster. I wasn't looking to be rotated - no offensive there - I want to raid. Even though I don't mind being sat, I thought this opportunity would be of something else, otherwise.

      I understand the guidelines for guilds who go this route. Having backups is nice to have, but if everyone is showing up, you'll show flavor over others in terms of progression. Again, I get it. Everyone's time is being used, but those who have to wait, their time is being wasted. All-in-all, I believe they recruited me for a backup spot, without really telling me. It's the reason I left the guild last night.

    Why do you want to join Shade of Arrows (Be thorough with your answer)?:
    I want to be apart of SoA, because I like the main focus of where the guild is being directed. I can relate to it in some sense. I like that you guys want to push progression, but that you can enjoy it and not feel like you are racing against a clock, besides getting specific achievements or kills before the next patch or expansion.

    How did you find us (Friend,Forum,Trade Chat,Officer, etc.)(specify)?:
    Darka posted SoA's recruitment ad on my post, and added me to realid. We only talked briefly before the servers came offline, but said we would later in the day.

    Tell us about yourself, to help us determine if you would be a good fit here (The more you put here, the better it looks):
    Who I am as a person...

    • I'm 25 and a male. I moved to Chicago two weeks go, because my brother overdosed. While I wont get into that personal matter, I thought getting back into the motion of raiding would help ease my mind. Currently having financial issues, since I had to move from state to state and quit my job in the process. So I'm stuck finding a job, paying my bills and school loans (have no free cash), and living with some family members.

      I'm down-to-earth and usually quiet when raiding, but I will talk when it's needed and if you get to know me, I'll open up eventually. I tend to mind my business and not look for drama. While I have a carefree attitude, doesn't mean I don't care about individuals. I'm always willing to do something to help someone.

    What I can offer as an applicant, raider, player, and guild mate...

    • I have an extensive raiding history, understanding of the game's roles and modules, I know how to research class and boss fight mechanics correctly. I'm always theorycrafting. I'm a player always thriving to be the best (or at least trying to be). If I make a mistake, I fix it then and there. I'm not a drama queen or loot whore. Ideally, I'll pass on any loot as an applicant, even if one needs it. I'm always on time with my own materials and necessities, willing to stay the extra time if a kill is insight, and whatever else comes with being a raider.

    Not sure if you and Darka have spoken since you posted this, I will check and make sure he hasn't overlooked your app. He's been pretty busy lately.

    This is how an app should fucking look like. Great read imo.
